Tweet's Ladies of Pasadena: The masterpiece by Timothy Carey that defies description. I saw it at an American Cinematheque tribute to Carey several years ago, and it was the most entertaining film I have ever seen.

SPAWN OF THE SLITHIS:
Although this movie was beaten up to shreds by some of the harshest movie critics, I liked this movie for its shock value & somewhat campy plot; true, the movie could've been much better than it was, although it did lend a nod to the old "Creature From The Black Lagoon" movie. But given the year it was written & produced, I would think that Director Stephen Traxler was more concerned with making a good Sci-Fi horror movie than how & what the critics think; so what if the critics think the movie stunk like the SLITHIS itself? I saw the movie 10 times & to this day I still have nightmares---even moreso since I live in Fla., which is rife with swamps all around. It adds to the ever foreboding feeling that something's out there....waiting to grab you & it ain't friendly! SPAWN OF THE SLITHIS gets an A+ in my book & I hope a remake is done along with a sequel, since it was left open-ended with the Monster grabbing the ankle of the hapless scientist. I'd tap Michael Bay to do both since he hit a grand slam w/ Steven Spielberg doing "TRANSFORMERS". A "SLITHIS" remake & a sequel? now I'd buy that for a dollar!
