I recently came across a Photo of the USS Quincy 4th Reunion at the Hotel Governor Clinton on Aug 13, 1955. It is a photo of a dining area with approximately 60 people in the room. Most faces are clear enough to distinguish. If you want a copy - just send me an e-mail.

I ve been trying to find out some information about my father, Paul G Hally, who was a crewman of the USS Quincy. He never talked much to me about his time aboard the ship although he was proud of being there. I know he used to be a boxer aboard the ship as he had photos of some of the matches, which i guess were called "smokers". He passed away about 15 yrs ago and i m sorry i never asked him more questions about his time there.

My father served on the USS Quincy as a gunners mate during WWII, and was very proud to have served his country serving on the USS Quincy. He has since passed away but he managed to somehow bring back with him a really cool piece of history. From what my father told me each crew member which was given a copy of "The Sea Wolf", which is actually a journal in detail of the places where the ship went and who actually bordered the ship as well as other tidbits of information. Just wondering if anyone else had a copy of this?

My father was aboard this ship during WWI. He is 89 and of healthy mind and remembers just about everything of his time in the Navy and on ship-- even the six months he lived in NYC. He is from the Pittsburgh, PA area. Interestingly, he recalls his time in the Navy as a college graduate recalls college days and dorm life. He served our country and saw some awful things ( which he has not revealed much of) and is grateful for this opportunity and for the end of the horrendous activities which lead to WWII

My dad, Ralph J. Smith, served on the Quincy CA-71 from the beginning until after WWII. He is so proud of his time on the ship and its service. He was a Chief Petty Officer - CY. He is living in Westboro, MA. He would love to talk to me and meet any of the Quincy crew. He and other crew members are living history: D-Day, Yalta - with FDR, Churchhill, Stalin and the Saudi kings; to VJ day in Tokyo bay. Wow! We recently went to see the ship's Bell located outside Quincy city hall. It was an emotional experience for him.

Please let me know. Thanks.
