What a great site chronicling the development of the breed. Well done. Extremely interesting. I\'ve had Elkhounds for 53 years but our first ever \"Elkhound\", bought from the local butcher- with a pedigree! turned out to be a Keeshond/ GSD cross. He was sadly killed by a car after which we got a \"real\" Elkhound and started showing. Only then did we find how to identify some of the dogs in his pedigree which were mostly Wakzaam and Vorden. |
