I started in junior high school in 1985. I wa sgmaing in 20mm with a group and wanted to have something where more tanks could go on the board! Also, the lower cost was enticing. I then shelved everything in university and started again only in 2000.

I too wanted to play 25mm but the price was outrageous. Then I saw Troy's site on how to paint and found they weren't just grey (or green) blobs and get really excited. Out came the stripper and I'm quite enjoying myself.

One concern our local group (in Edmonton) has is that no one under 30 seems interested (excepting one guy whose dad is into it). We're trying to make some converts by having hosted games every time but it is hard to derail the Games Workshop marketing and get people interested in historical gaming.
