I have finally decided to buy me a new bike for next year , I want to spend around 500 pounds. As mechanics is not my best skill has anyone got any suggestions ?

I think I should go for a road bike and have seen a GIANT on wiggle for £400. I think this might be a good buy and as I am not looking to enter the olympics think this will be a good starter bike.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
