As it's the race this weekend i wondered if anybody had any ideas about travel arrangements, meeting up etc. Also, are we still planning on going round in a big happy group?

I think the general consensus is that we all go around together and laugh at each other getting muddy and falling over etc.

As we have to wear the t shirts we are given, I was pondering on what we could wear to help us stick together and stand out from the crowd.

And then it dawned on me... 'that's it!', I thought as I was standing halfway up a tree with a rusty saw (but thats another story). Anyway I digress, I think we should all wear swimming caps... No I'm serious.. swimming caps. It makes absolute sense. They won't stain, they won't get heavy when they are wet, we will be able to spot each other easily and best of all we will look like right numpties. Hoorah!!

I've just read that there are special prizes for teams. We have a team of eight, so we get extra stuff for just being a team! Then there are prizes for fastest teams and a prize draw for teams. It just goes on and on.

BUT, we have enterred under different names and a team is only registered if members put the same name. The most common team name we have enterred under is Stafford Triathlon Club. The people who haven't are:

Bally, do you fancy giving me a lift up there as im a bit of a tit and put a new exhaust on my car (when already got a decat!!!) and is currently so loud my head is bordering on exploding when i drive it haha

I'll be traveling up in my van, so I have room for one passenger if anyone is interested.

Swim Caps: Are there any of the red Stafford tri swim caps available to buy or should we just wear any old swim cap?

When I get home I'll do a swim cap audit. I've probably got one of every colour.
We should be colour coordinated for maximum impact.

Stafford Tri Swim cap has been found.

Matt, No problem for the lift. I was thinking about leaving around 7:30 ish. plenty of time to get over, get parked and then register. I've not got a Staffie Tri swim hat,b ut will bring an array with me!
