Does anyone know when the open water swimming starts, or when we can go before the official Staffy Tri stuff starts???

I'm desperate to get started ASAP as I've got an important race the first week in June and don't want to leave it too late.

Can we join Dan Earthquake and his crew if we have a 'spotter'?

Hi Lou,

Open water swimming will likly start the end of April beginning of May, more to do with the water temperature than anything else. But i have redone the risk assessment anyway, so we are ready to go.

If you want to get in touch with Dan, best of luck the last i heard they were reducing the numbers of people in the Sandwell Long Distance Swim Club to only include People that could swim without a wet suit.
