The first of Stafford Road Club's Challenge / Reliability Trial will take place on Sunday 27th February 2011.
Riders have a choice of two distances 48 and 67 miles Signing on will take place from 8.45am to 9.15am at the Stafford Rugby club, Newport
Road ST16 1BG, entry fee is £2 / rider (THATS TWO WHOLE ENGLISH POUNDS!!!).
This event is "Open to all" and not just Stafford Road Club members.
So please come along and join in the fun
Two more events are planned this year around the same course. The second will be in May and the third at the end of August/ early September, exact dates still to be confirmed.
So why not set yourself a challenge. If its the 48 mile course you are planning to ride in February, why not ride the May event too with the aim to build for the 67 mile distance for the 3rd event. Or alternatively set yourself your own time goals on either course and use these 3 events to measure your improvement in fitness as the year progresses.
Or just simply forget about time, speed and the challenges and just come along for a nice ride out on your bike, after all that’s what it all about really.
I'm in Chop, probably the 67 miles. See http://www.staffordrc.org/src/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=47&Itemid=36 for further details including the 2 routes and the sign-on venue.

Assuming Foordy let's me have a day off i will be riding from home to Stafford via Rugeley then the 67 miler. Does anybody have a preferance what time we start off??????
no prefernece to time but verrrrrry worried about getting lost - won't keep up with speedy group over that distance and am a girl and therefore cant read a map... and am still struggling to persuade Mrs Bowman Twohey to participate!! and and and...........
So with me that's 3 people doing the 48 one, I wanted to start at 9 am but I can work around you guys. Let me know what time we can meet up. Anyone else up for the 48 miler??
is there a time and place to meet on Sunday for the longer ride. Appreciate you're doing a bit before but as close to 0845 would be good if possible (not quite sure how long it's all going to take!).
Mick, 8.45 sounds good to me. Andrea will be riding too and hopefully we can get some other people to commit to riding too. See you sunday at the rugby club.
