Salute to a Survivor

I've posted here before. My Dad, Daniel H. Galvin Jr, is a survivor of the USS Quincy CA39. I have tried to help many of you with talking to him about your loved ones and have shown him pictures, some he remembers and some he doesn't. He will never forget that day August 9 1942. I am giving you a link to the Boston Globe and Boston.com to see and read an article Kevin Cullen has worked on with Daniel. I hope you find some peace.

Re: Salute to a Survivor

My grandfather, Roby Johnson, was also a survivor. He spoke of a senior officer known as Cannonball Jackson. Does he remember him?

Re: Salute to a Survivor

There was a R. W. Johnson MM1c on board while was, I didn't know him. No one by the name of Jackson on board while I was.
