FYI my brother flew wih 431 Sqdn. and completed his tour hence my interest in the Squadron history. I have the complete O.R.B. if you need further information. The Croft Spa was the local watering hole where many a pint of good English beer was downed. One of the Australian Pilots of 431 Sqdn. "Craig" had his wedding reception held there my brother and crew were invited along as their pilot "Badgery" was another of three Aussie pilots on station at that time. The story goes that they got so drunk that they ended up making a human pyramid in the water fountain but it didn't last long due to the shaky legs at the bottom. Hope this info is of some help let me know if I can help in some other way. Regards, Bill Heron/Niagara
