Thanks for taking the time to reply I am very grateful.
I have accessed the awards site you suggested and found it fascinating. I also looked up the Daily Operations for that date on this site and found the item listed. The crew is listed there and it relates to a Sgt. M Grant (RCAF),this may be a mis-print as my father enlisted in the RAF.I am unsure if this is him as the cicumstances differ from the story my father told me when I was younger (or at least my memory of them)ie: he said he flew in Lancasters.
