Search for relatives of deceased crew members of 434 Squadron
I am seeking contact with any surviving aircrew of 6 Group's 434 Squadron who served in the early day's of the Squadron's formation, commencing in August, 1943.
In addition, I hope to hear from an Andrew Evans who has earlier posted a request for information about the loss of F/O Chetwin Hamre Popplewell's Halifax LK634 "T" for Tommy on the night of September 29-30, 1943, during Bomber Command's raid on Bochum and Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Mr. Evans was seeking information about this incident to learn more about his uncle, Sgt. Trevor Davies, who was killed, along with Popplewell and three other crewmembers when "T" Tommy was intercepted and shot down by a Luftwaffe night-fighter.
Having written a short story about Popplewell and his crew, entitled "Just One of the Many" I would like to get in contact with Mr. Evans to exchange information.
