We are currently preparing for a major exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of the coming of the railways to North Devon.
Our exhibition is due to open at the beginning of April and we are currently looking for sources of information (particularly statistics) about the use of the Exeter to Barnstaple line and other lines in the North Devon Railway/London & South Western/Southern Railway network.
We are particularly interested in figures for goods transported and numbers of passengers (especially holiday makers) at the high of the railway (I’m guessing that would be the inter-war years).
