Have you seen this new Nighthawk ?
Gibson combines the traditional Nighthawk with the Blueshawk. The new one has a P90 neck pickup and the Les Paul known 498 bridge pickup. Chamberd body and an AAA figured maple front. So you have the small chance to own a brand new Nighthawk - 10 years after they discontinued this model. If I am right Gibson limited this 20090 Nighthawk up to 350 pcs. world wide.

I just bought mine a few days ago - great guitar !!
The playability is very, very good - as we know it from the old Hawks!
Even if it comes without the string through body solution the new Nighthawk has a fantastic sustain.
The sound variety is not as versatile as the old Nighthawk with 3 picks or the split humbuckers - but no problem: it is a "new" sound for a new Nighthawk. For me it´s okay! The new one has this "vintage" tone. The P90 is Bluesy, woody & creamy (if you reduce the treble), but it also has enough "twang" with treble on 10. The 498 is "the Rocker" - soft distortion sounds or even high gain are no problem. With the reduced treble and the good sustain you can imitate the Santana-sound,...
