Hi Guys,
After waiting 40 odd years to own a Gibson it finally happened on Christmas day 05, My wife bless her, Bought me a Gibson ES335, Whats wrong with that i hear you say, "Nothing at all" it was out of it's case almost everyday of the week.
That was untill early October last year when a friend called me up to say, A friend of he's wanted to sell a Gibson Blues Hawk and it's not a lot of money. I had never herd of the Hawk, But not a lot of money, the cat got the better of me and Blues Hawk and friend payed a visit on the same day.
Well as you guys probably know it was love at first sight, 10 minutes later and £400 lighter, i am now the guardian of the Hawk + a hard case, not the original but it fits real snug, Their was no wear on the fingerboard and the body is unmarked, no chips or scratches, I'd say it's had very little use since it's birth.
Well the 335 gets a lot of rest these days [I do feel a bit guilty about it] But i always seem to make a bee-line for the Hawk.
Moral of this story is, sometimes it pays to let the cat get the better of you, you could end up with 2 Gibsons.
