Turning the tone control knob has no effect when the bridge pickup alone is selected. It works fine with the other 2 settings (i.e. neck alone and neck & bridge).

Pickup selector doesn't make any crackling or other obnoxious noises. Same for tone control.

Any ideas/suggestions?
