1998 Black Blueshawk w/ maestro tremolo for sale

I am considering selling a 1998 black Gibson Blueshawk w/ vintage-style Maestro tremolo. Gold-plated hardware.

This is an excellent instrument and was my number one for many years when I was younger. The neck is super fast. The sound is beautiful. Very versatile guitar. Push-pull varitone. P-90s. Everything's original.

The only repair I ever made was to replace the jack, which was inset loosely into the back side of the body, with a small four screw mounted jack in same place (very neat professional job; looks like it came from the factory that way). This change was needed due to the faultiness of the original Gibson design (I'm sure others have had the same problem).

There is a very small ding at the top of the headstock and a small paint chip on the back of the body where neck meets body. Other than that, there is just some general fading of the gold-plating.

Hard case is missing one latch.

I'm asking $1,000 and I'm firm about it. That's what it's worth to me, so if you don't think so, then it's not for you. I'm not pressed to sell and I'm sure I'll regret it even at that price, which is slightly less than what I paid for it in 1998. No one else has ever owned, by the way, and it's been kept in the case whenever not being used.

Will ship if you pay, or I don't mind meeting in Northern New Jersey or New York City. You may also stop by and play if you're considering. I'm in Ironbound, Newark, NJ.

If you're interested, drop me an email. I can take some photos or video or something if you want and send them.

Thanks,
Chris
