My father was stationed on J.I. in 1949 but our whole family lived there - mom, me and my sister. We lived in 1/2 of one of the quansit huts. I have some pictures from that time - but they are tiny sepia toned photos. My favorite is of the island from a plane. Nothing had been added to the island yet, ad the runway was so small, it curved!
