I had to call out an LCM one evening when a secure comm. link to the Coast Guard island went bad. They had no spare there and I transported a spare unit from the JOC bldg (unit was portable, sort of, it had side handles but weighed near 80 lbs.) to the dock, they dropped the LCM ramp for me, I boarded, they took me to the island. Later I called them to take me and the bad unit back to the main island, a real "joint task force" operation, AF, Navy, Coast Guard...
