Hi to allI was on JI Dec 67-Dec68 (USAF), 24SS. Did a LOT of diving, fishing down at the s**t chute and I also had a "horse" (bicycle)! Tradition was to pass it along to your relief. Some of you may remember the Red Cross "Swim-and-stay-fit" and Life Guard training programs set up at the swimming pool. I established those. Remember Big Earl, the Hawaiian life guard!? He was very good at the dice games held each week upstairs in the barracks!
I was there when they finally said you could have cameras... amazing!!... they seem to come out of the woodwork! Except for the lack of Ladies, the duty wasn't bad. Served in a hello-of-a-lot worse places!
