I was an Army Spec 4 stationed on JI from 66-67. I was the morning and nighttime announcer on the radio station. I also helped organize a USO show at the theater. My still most pleasant memory is prime rib on Wednesdays, not to mention drinking a fifth of Chivas Regal bought from the kiosk on some weekends. Remember 20-cent happy hour drinks at the NCO Club? Yes, I also remember movies at the outdoor theater...can't remember any particular one I saw though. It was real lonely for me without any women. I did pick up a WAC on Hono on a weekend R&R. We had a good time clubbing - catching Don Ho singing "Tiny Bubbles."
