I never knew any of the Holmes and Narver folks, but we did hang with a couple of the Hawaiians on the weekends. We’d go down by the “S-Chute” and net small fish. Them take them back to the Hawaiians quarters, deep fry them until they were so crunchy you could even eat the bones, drink Primo (my taste buds just shivered) and pass out. GREAT Times!!
My definition of Hell is driving Supply’s forklift over to the POL sight, getting a drum of Trichloroethylene and taking it down to the LOX facility after one of those weekends with the “Honos”. OMG. I still have nightmares.
