I emailed Chisos Mining Company Motel regarding a room for SFR. They have a room but unlike previous times I've stayed there, they want a deposit in the form of a check for the first and last night. I called and was told they won't take a credit card for the deposit.

Yes, I found that kind of weird they would not take a credit card. I mailed them a check today for first and last night of our stay. Reserved two rooms starting the 27th for three nights. Still not sure who all from the panhandle will go. May have a bed for someone.

Brad, I could probably use that bed. Wonder if they've had a lot of 'no-shows' with fake credit cards?
