Impaled on the Horns of a Dilemma

Dear Friends;
I've been doing a lot of thinking, and not much riding lately, and I am afraid that I've lost confidence in myself and my bike. I can't seem to complete a long trip on it without something happening (NOT always the bikes' fault), and try as he might, My mechanic cannot seem to get the front end sorted out. It's better, it's just not Right. I wish I could afford to trailer it out to Carl Leo...He is just about the only tech I trust anymore. I've been thinking about trying to sell the bike (although I don't really want to), and getting something with lower mileage and in better condition to take on trips. The problem with that is a lack of funds, and a desire to not get into another long-term loan if I can help it, considering the way the economy has been going lately. The only other option that I have is to take it to someone else and see if they can sort out the problem. So, does anyone here know of a competent V12 mechanic that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but lives a bit closer to NM than Carl Leo does? If I cannot get this sorted out, I'm probably not going to be doing a lot of long distance riding next summer. I'll be fearing the possibility of something dropping off the bike, or the possibility of another accident.
Anyone that can offer advice, please speak up! Thanks!!

Ride Safe,
HankinAbq

Re: Impaled on the Horns of a Dilemma

Hank I am a pretty good mechanic and cost is free. Tell me what is bothering you and I will try and offer suggestions, such as they are. I live in Houston, a long way from NM. I am at your service. Cal me so you won't get corporal syndrome typing. 281-703-6102.

Hank
Can't say as I know of anyone around here especially for the V12. My mechanic is good, but I haven't really taken my bikes into him. I had thought you said the bike was handling OK after the last round with your mechanic. Aren't there any others around there in Albuquerque?
Good luck
