Second Annual Student Legislative Day



When: Wednesday, April 2, 2003



Where: Howlett Building (Auditorium) - South of State Capitol Building, Springfield



The Student Legislative Day is an opportunity for area high school students to learn first-hand about the legislative process in the Illinois legislature.



Students who participate in this event will:

· Learn about current pro-life legislation at the state and federal levels;

· Learn how to approach their legislators to express their point of view; and

· Have an opportunity to meet with their individual legislators.



Several legislators will be present to talk with participating students.



A minimal registration fee of $5.00 a person is requested to help defray the cost of materials and refreshments. Participants may bring their lunch to eat in the Hall of Flags or buy lunch at a local restaurant. Parking is available at no cost at the Visitors' Center on Pasfield and Edwards Streets (one block west of the Capitol Complex). All persons attending this event will need one form of photo identification for entry into the Howlett Building and the State Capitol.
