david died in 1998 from lung cancer. we met in a halfway house where I found out he was getting chemotherapy and I offered to go with him so he wouldnt feel alone. I also felt so connected to hiim as he asked me to be his girl"If I could put up with a sick man" I told him that he was a brave man not a sick man and that being sick wasnt the reason I had feelings for him. I attended many chemo sessions with him, sometimes against his wishes but he was always grateful that I did because I allows him to be able to cry when he hurt and told him it was ok I would always be there.
he will always be my hero even now that I have married and my husband was so upset that he never got to meet this wonderful young man.
