MEYNELL VALLEY BARTON TURNS ALTERNATIVE VENUE TO SWAN POOL
Hi Everyone We can now swim at Barton Turns which is in Barton under Needwood near Burton-on-Trent which may be closer than Swan Pool for a lot of people. Nick has found out all the information for us. Adrian Williamson runs this swim session at Barton and is very happy for any Stafford Tri members to come along. Same rules would apply here as at Swan Pool. We still need people to complete the 800M swim etc. Facilities at the lake: Toilets (no showers) Cafe Pub (from 10:30am on Sat morning) Various other shops & restaurants (clothing etc). The times are (Summer only April - September) Every Wed evening - 6:30 to 7pm (ish, normally 8pm due to a TT that takes place from the same venue or sometimes good weather). Every Sat morning - 9 to 11am (11:30am ish, again due to a TT that takes place from the same venue or sometimes good weather!) Everyone needs to complete the 'Declaration Form' which can be found on the website. This should be completed and handed in at registration before entering the water. All swimmers must report to the registration to pay and declare that they are entering and exiting the water. Dawn, how do we confirm to them that we have completed the 800m swim?? It would be a lot easier for me to get there than swan pool cheers! |

Dawn, hope you are well, i was watching this thread can you comfirm if a spotter is required at this venue??? Not that i will be attending!!!!
