Re: Message for Hardtop

Unfortunately the rumours that i lack the energy after our 'Kilo ride' are quite unfounded, yes i may have suffered from 'The Bonk' in the last 5% of the ride but have now recovered suffiently to tackle a couple of infamous Lakeland cols with all the enthusiasm of a Marco Pantani wannabe.

Just got to drop out the news to the Mrs, best hide the boxing gloves.

Re: Message for Hardtop

You're the man, Hardtop...don't let a little thing like the bonk put you off...just got eat and drink more frequently...a little rest here and there can ramp up the energy levels and enthusiasm like you'll never believe

And at the end of the day...the accomplishmnet, the basking in glory at a mountainous wilderness traversed by ones own steam...seemingly insurmountable objects crested, the body pushed to limits unrivalled, by natures topographical delights, beauty by the bucket load and then some, mountain air, the death defying descent...the camaraderie...THE WHITTON

Toughest ride in the UK, and the best

And you're in It !!!!!

Re: Message for Hardtop

You really do have to worry about anyone who brings a mountain bike to a road ride...are you sure it was your bonk card you fed in and not some other form of id ?

No wonder the wife is reluctant to let you out for long unattended
