gary well done first of all mate - top result. your swim went as follows: 100m - 1min 31 sec 200m - 3:13 300m - 4:56 400m - 6:34 your stroke is quite delightful!! the bi-lateral breathing is great and the entry, recovery on both arms is really good. you recover slightly slower with your left arm - are you turning your head to the left a bit too much? obviously adding tumble turns would be a good move but thats up to you. the only thing that did stand out was that your stroke turnover was quite slow campared to toher swimmers. obviously you are ok if you do well in the race but if you want to beat 6min you will have to move your arms quicker. well done gary! glyn ps - well done to all of the other stafford tri club athletes too and thanks for brining that port-a-loo (or tent or whatever)thingy - i'll save an especially big crap for it next time!!

Thanks for that Glyn. I was thinking of you as I went round every wet corner during the bike section. I have no idea about swimming but will give the advice a try next time I'm in the pool. Mind the flags on your way into the tent...they are precious! GF. |
