Message for Fozz re Stafford Junior Triathlon

Phil, just received your entries for the Junior Tri. Thanks for that. Please don't worry at all about it being their first triathlon. If Zoe and George are good swimmers and fit as you say, they will have a ball! We will be sending out race information packs in the week before the race so that will help. Also, if you have any questions please feel free to give me a call or talk to me on Sunday at swimming. How about Zoe and George joining the club and coming to run and swim training on Sundays?

Re: Message for Fozz re Stafford Junior Triathlon

Hi Brian
No worries. I think they'll love it. Maybe too much for them to join and train at the mo. as they compete at Swimming and Tennis which both take a lot of time. George also plays football. Hopefully, if they enjoy it, they will be interested to do more and who knows what they will want to do in the future. I am just looking forward to seeing their faces when they finish.

Cheers
Phil

Re: Message for Fozz re Stafford Junior Triathlon

Hi Brian
Just spotted that the Junior training is at 3.30 on Sunday before the swim session. Zoe and George prob won't do teh swim session cos they will be training with Chase later on Sunday but I think they are keen to come along at 3.30 this week if it will help them to understand how they go about doing a triathlon.
Do we just turn up? Will the session help explain the transition stuff and would I need to take their bikes or anything?
Thanks
Phil

Re: Message for Fozz re Stafford Junior Triathlon

Phil, yes they can just turn up at 3.30pm. I will find out who is taking the session and see if we can focus on transistion training etc. If they bring their bikes they will definitely have an opportunity to ride them. In any case, in the next day or so, I will put some "first timer tips for kids" on the website. Keep an eye on the forum and I will let you know when its been posted. I will also post all the race information on the website by the weekend.

Cheers,

Brian
