Re: CHase Race Sunday 4th May

Hi
Start times can now be found on Chase Race website. Could get a bit busy in pool for me and Scott as 12 people are down to start at the same time!!
Also note probable change to bike route and access to Friary Centre - according to Council website road works on going until end of May

Re: CHase Race Sunday 4th May

The bike course will be a bit longer. On the way back into Lichfield you will now carry straight on down the bypass (because you can't turn left where the old lights were) and take the first turning on the left (Abnalls Lane) Follow this road to the T-junction at the end and turn left up Stafford Road. At the top take a right onto Eastern Avenue and left into the Leisure Centre. This adds about a mile, but there is no traffic lights.

I'm tempted but I'm as blunt as a ball at the moment and trying to come to terms with tapering and being sensible...all a bit foreign really

Re: CHase Race Sunday 4th May

Ben,

It's a sprint distance. For a sprint I take one gel before the start and then that's it - nothing more. If that makes you nervous take a bottle of energy with you on the bike. But it all adds weight and time to drink and realistically you don't need it.

Re: CHase Race Sunday 4th May

Another great Turnout for Stafford Tri,

21 racing i think, some great results.

Definatly the best turned out and supported club, we put all the other clubs to shame, again.

We done everyone for making it another great race and creating a great race day atmosphere.

Special thanks to Tubby for Erecting the Gazebo and putting up the flags also to Lou for being Noisy and taking some great Photo's. Cheers also everyone else not racing who made lots of Noise.

Re: CHase Race Sunday 4th May

Think it's about time we had men only events

Novice Jane racks up for her 2nd triathlon...

2nd Prize Female...

...oh and beating just about all the blokes, when she does zip cycling or swimming

bloody well done...

some therapy may be needed to massage alot of bruised male ego's...i'm in a right sulk for a start
