Hooked
Saw Ola in Bilston a few weeks ago. I've now got 8 friends looking forward to Ludlow and to Bromsgrove. Why is there no Sky channel playing this sort of music? I was brought up on a diet of Marvin, Isaac, Donny, Curtis, Barry etc and the kids today have to settle for rap *rap. "You summarise" is my favorite Ola track - Go to shop and "From Meaning....." launch player to hear it - what a lyric, what a voice! |

I know what you mean, i was brought up on Marvin, curtis, Al Green, Stevie and Teddie P and only got in to Donny 2 years ago, but have seen Ola in London twice and both times was thoroughly impressed and puzzeled why his talent is not more widely appreciated. I guess it takes time and the sad state of the (X factor type comercial) music industry are looking for a quick buck and not talent. They are missing out big time! I have 3 of Ola's albums and they are testemony to an exceptional songwriter and vocalist. Hard pushed to pick a fave but Forever Girl (More than soul) would be in there and Like Him (ambitions) |
