Heart Of Lead
Can't wait to download this(no time just now) - giving me goose bumps just thinking of it - Yamas! You must put a live track on your next CD...love listening to them. Did anyone see Later with Jools Holland on Fri - so glad this is back on TV. I’ve got to know some great bands/artists from watching these shows - you must get on there Ola. We went to see Christine Collister live on Friday night & tuned in to Jools when we returned home. Jamie Lidell was on. I had etched his name on my musical brain, like you do, as someone to look out for, after his recommendation on your website – thanks Ola & Mark! When it was announced he would be appearing on the show, I was well pleased. Impressed I was - good performance, loved the voice – actually reminded me of Ray Lamontagne’s voice whose CD Trouble I mentioned as a must buy purchase. Definitely my thing – will be looking further into what he’s done. Jamie – you must come to York/Selby/Leeds/Halifax & help keep us Yorkshire Folk Souled Up! Corine Bailey Rae was also on. Someone whom I’d heard of a couple of years ago via my nephew/bro-in-law, who first recorded the track she was singing live on the show, in Leeds (in their studio garage), when she was starting out her solo career. Thought she sounded good then, but v. impressed with her performance on Fri night. Another one to watch out for me thinks. Lastly – Ola, I was singing your praises to Matt Daniel of justsoul.net and he said he’s been trying to get an interview with you for months now. Please get in touch…we like to read about you in these things…keeps that appetite of ours fed… Cheers… TC

Yeah, I thought Jamie put in a great performance, particularly considering he only had Jools to accompany him. I also thought old Burt Backache did some cool new toons, even though he had Rufus Wainwright doing his best to murder any melody in the tunes!! |

Now that's so kind of you.But you see someone like me wants some more like the zinging, the scating on those live versions of songs like "forever Girl","How","Like Him","stay here forever","WOW","We don't know","You Summarize","the picture","it's never over","anyone",well, weell, weeeell and the list goes on an on.How about an album full of live performances.I know I will buy it and would make up for those gigs I miss sometimes.I don't think I'm alone on that.I think it will also go down well on radio shows. Are you sending emails out to people to know about the download. And Welcome back.Hope you had a wonderful time in the US and hope it was and will be fruit bearing. More blessing. Dapo |

Love 'Heart of Lead' it is fantastic as is Ola singing. When I close my eyes at a Ola gig I think of warm sweet hot chocolate i.e. the expensive stuff not the cheap cadbury's. His range is amazing. I was gobsmacked and my jaw hit the ground when I first saw in in concert. He always puts on a great show and talks for England. Yap yap yap. Hugs Ola x
