Reiki II
Hi, I have received Reiki I by taking a workshop to be attuned. I am wondering if one can learn Reiki II from a book or needs to be attuned for Reiki level II. Before, I receive Reiki I, I could feel the flow energy from the palm of my left hand to the right hand, when I hold them at a 90 angle. The left hand in vertical and the right hand horizental. The left hand started to rotate, and the right hand too. After the Reiki I, I use my left hand for scanning, my hand moves involunteerly to certain spots on my body, chakra areas, and start to rotate. However, when I raise my right hand, the energy flow stops immediately. Do you think I can learn Reiki II on my own or I have to take a workshop. |

Re: Reiki II
I've been meaning to reply, but you know how it is with the holidays... In Reiki the energy flows equally from both hands. And energy can be sensed equally from both hands. It's true that the left side in general is the receiving side, but you can scan with your right hand too, or both. Energy has many manifestations, movement, mysteries. What you say about right angles & rotations are individual experiences, but not really related to Reiki. Reiki won't stop flowing from one hand because the other hand is raised or doing something else. We are energetic beings. Without the energy there would be no life. You can certainly access healing or universal energy without taking a workshop. BUT, if you want to learn to be a Reiki Practitioner, and utilize spritiual energy according to the teachings of Reiki, then you must be trained in this specific system. It's especially a concern if you're going to work on others and call what you do Reiki, if you haven't received the proper training. If you'd like guidance on how to pick the right teacher, please read my eBook: http://www.reikihelp.com/ebooks.htm To find out more about the real teachings of Reiki, let me refer you to this, especially sections 2 & 3: http://www.reikihelp.com/WhatIsReiki.html Please honor the system you've started in. Usui Sensei created specific teachings that work in specific ways. If you want Reiki then it has to be Reiki. There are no shortcuts. |

Thank you Pamir
Thank you for taking the time to reply my question. I only use it on my mom once for her headache that had been bothering her for a couple of days, and I think it worked for her. I would like to know what if somebody has a heart attack or a stroke. Is it ok to help them with Reiki. How about for a child with speech delay??What are the best hand positions in emergency situations?? Thanks in advance!

Re: Reiki II
As Reiki has no contraindications or side-effects it works well with any illness, disease or condition. Remember, at the deepest level, Reiki simply reestablishes balance. For emergencies, comfort the person emotionally, treat area hurt, and the adrenals to balance the shock. |

Re: Reiki II
You need to attend a workshop with a teacher, you cant teach yourself Reiki. You need the energetic support of a good teacher as well as the knowledge and support that any good teacher will offer following your attunement. The attunement is such a small part of the Reiki teachings, the rest involve energetic exercises and a reiki share to grow and expand your work etc etc etc. None of this can be acquired from a book. If you had a good and supportive Reiki I teacher I wonder what makes you look to books for your Reiki II, search long and hard until you find the teacher that you connect with, ensure they have lineage and offer good support following your attunment and then go for it. with reiki blessings, Reiki_flow |
