Weird visions during Reiki treatment
I am worried, I am about to be attuned Level 1 next week, the Reiki master told me it would be benific for me to get a treatment before getting attuned. So I went and talk to that person alot before the treatment, what followed was strange and disturbing for me. Few minutes after the treatment started I began to visualise nice landscape images but gradually then kept getting darker and darker as dark plants grow over the pictures making them eventually look completly dark. Then the next image... again dark plants starts growing on it darkening everything. A feeling of everything looks dark and cold. yuk I also saw skuls and futuristic cold and dark places. I was not expecting any of this. The treatment lasted over an hour and these disturbing visions keep going for at leats 30-40 mins. I tried several times to focus on my body, but gradually those images darkening kept coming back... I am scheduled to be attuned by that person next week, should I worry, what do those visions mean ? Thanks for you help. |

Frank, Your concern is natural. Did you describe the visions to this RM? If so, what did he/she say about it? You must trust your teacher. There has to be good energy between you. This is someone who is going to lead you in the teachings of Reiki. Make sure you feel good about him/her in every way. I hope this doesn't turn you away from Reiki, because Reiki doesn't cause any harm. I wonder what is going on in your life right now. Have you had some difficulties, especially emotionally? Some inner visions and experiences are reflections of how our mind is thinking and what our heart is feeling. This "darkness" may represent something that is going on in your life. If that is the case, you can look into this area of your life. It's hard to comment without knowing more. How long have you known this teacher? How is your life right now? Are there other teachers you can get treatment or training from? |

Pamir , Thanks for replying. Here is what I have been thinking. 1 - Few days ago, I had a formation "Chi" (Qi gong) and started doing it on a daily basis, everything goes fine with that. 2 - I am a smoker (approx 10-15 cigarettes/day) Is it possible that the "dark plants" are the cigarettes darkening my life ? And that the "Chi" brings me more into my body (grounding) and as a result my body tells me "hey this is very bad for you?" 3 - Emotions... my last 5 relationships (love) all went the same way, I give alot of time and care, love, and in return I get only 10% back, after few months the relation ends and they say "I dont feel love, friends would be fine" and I dont hear from them after that. Sad. Can the "Visions" be related to these issues or is it something else. Thanks Frank |

Yes, your visions can be related to what you shared. You may just want to wait a little while before taking Reiki Training. It doesn't sound like you're in the best space for it personally. Perhaps you can receive a few Reiki treatments first. This will also give you the chance to get to know this RM. Or go to other RMs for treatments. You need time to get yourself ready for Reiki Training, an dyou need time to figure out if you have found the right teacher. |
