distance attunements
Hi all! I have been interested in Reiki for a few months, but finding it difficult to find a Teacher/Master for my first attunement. So I have been researching on distance attunements and courses. Has anyone here had a distance attunement to First or otherwise that has worked just as well as a face to face attunement? Were they equally effective? Thanks for answering my questions :) Sarah |

Re: distance attunements
Hi Sarah, If you visited my main site, of which this message board is one part, you probably saw that I provide online/homestudy training, which includes distant or nonlocal attunements. My online/homestudy training has grown out of my years of experience teaching in-person. If you've been offered a CD/DVD or just a Manual, and some attunements (sometimes only one), be discriminating. The attunement alone isn't enough, neither are the materials. With my program, we spend actual class time online via MSN messenger, and the attunements take place at various points while we're online. Ahead of time you receive my extensive Manual. Videos, pictures, sound clips, etc. are also provided as needed. I've also received training myself at-a-distance and as long as the teacher is experienced, sincere and solid, and there's integrity it totally works. One of my favorite aspects of Reiki is that it isn't academic and can't be left on shelf once the degree is earned. It constantly gives us the opportunity to better ourself. It's crucial not to stagnate as a teacher and do the personal work. There needs to be accountability from both sides. I have a personal code of integrity, and I stay in touch with my students. They're expected to send me progress reports, the training is then fine-tuned. My website is quite extensive, I've an eBook that complements the Manuals they get, and publish an eNewsletter, archives can be found here: http://reikihelp.com/archive.htm Sending an email to healingresources@reikihelp.com will generate an automated reply with a list of the most helpful healing/spirituality/consciousness books I've used through the years. Hope this helps, PAMIR http://www.reikihelp.com |

Re: distance attunements
Thanks for answering my question. I had seen the course mentioned on your website, but I wasn't aware it was a distance course - thought it was FvF actual classes. Also I didn't notice any prices for a face to face session or the distance course. Sarah |
