What Amp ??
I'm playing the blueshawk for two years now with a little Peavy...I want to change for a tube now... I thought of a Fender Hot Rod... are there any experience with the blueshawk and the Rod amps? |

I have used the following amps sucessfully with my Blueshawk - Peavey Classic 30 - a bit edgy and toppy Fender Hotrod Deluxe - 40w 2x12 - good sound - a bit uncontrollable Finally and currently - Peavey Delta Blues 1x15 - bags of bottom end grunt, for me the real deal Tone

Chrissie, I've had good luck with a Blues Jr; easy to dial up the bottom and mid. A Deluxe Reverb will really, really let the P90's sing...you will like it, alot. |

I played the blueshawk through a Gibson Goldtone about 3 years ago. I don't remember the model # and I think it has been discontinued and replaced with newer models. But I remember I could get very sweet BB King like tones (think of his guitar solo in the song "Darling, you know I love you") at only slightly louder than conversation levels. I imagine the newer models would give you the same tone. |
