repalcement tuners - which are the best
I get lots of requests asking about which tuners are the best replacements for the stock tuners - in particular ones that require no drill or modification of the headstock

Before I got my guitar (2 years ago) I was affraid with this tuners story. Now I can't see any reason why I would change. Maybe I am lucky but I bend a lot (Gary Moore, David Gilmour...) and I get no problem. This might come from my way to deal with strings: I use the Bright wires from Gibson (the one that comes with the guitar). they are very strong and don't oxidize. So I just don't change them. Most of people change string every month and I believe that tuning problem come from this. Once the string has aged a little it remains stable. So just don't change it unless you really have to! |
