only just found out that mike billington had sadly passed away a couple of years back.As a kid/teenager growing up in Leicester i was,and still am a big science fiction fan,and U.F.O. has to be easily the best british science fiction show ever [why doesn,t someone in authority make a new series in memory of those who were in the original ?]. I recall drawing the main charactors of U.F.O. on my school books as well as the o.f.o.s themselves.Mike billington was a part of my youth [just as were ed bishop -- who i also did not know had also passed away recently ! -- and george sewell who also died recently] and it is true that the older you get the more the figures of the past begin to vanish. A very late condolences to the family of mike... ...he did the business !. Tony. |

It’s lovely to hear from everyone and to read what an impact Mike has had on our lives as children and adults. If anyone would like to expand on their messages and write an article, please feel free to send an article, photo or scan of any Mike memorabilia you may like to share to theteam@mikebillingtonfans.com. We would be very pleased to include anything you’d like to share with Mike’s fans on this site. Over the past few Months I’ve chatted to a few people on the internet dealing with their feeling of loss after looking Mike up on the internet for the first time and finding Mike is no longer with us. The loss of someone who had a vast influence on our lives can affect us just as losing someone very close.
