News!

Hi there,

We have happily seen a number of television series, either starring or guest starring Mike, finally find their way to a DVD release since this site was launched, however, one series there has been a lot of interest in "Spearhead" has still to make it’s way to DVD.

Recently, I contacted a company who may hold the rights to "Spearhead" and enquired about the possibility of a DVD release or repeat screening. The Company have yet to reply, but I’m hoping they will be able to advise me of the possibility of seeing this wonderful series again, or, point me in the direction of someone who can!

Some of Mike’s fans already know, not only was Sylvia Anderson a very close personal friend of Mike but also recognised Mike’s screen presence and acting ability resulting in him receiving his first starring role as Col Paul Foster in UFO.

Sylvia Anderson has a new book out shortly “My Fab Years” which can be purchased from ‘Amazon’ via the link on our DVD page, or, you can read more about the book from Sylvia herself at

Here is the Amazon review care of the publisher, Hermes Press

‘Hermes Press proudly announces the publication of the definitive behind-the-scenes history of the great British sci-fi television series and movies of the late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s: "Supercar", "Fireball XL5", "Stingray", "Thunderbirds", "Captain Scarlet", "Secret Service", "Joe 90", "Doppelganger", "UFO and Space: 1999" from their co-creator, Sylvia Anderson. Packed full of behind-the-scenes photographs depicting the daily nuts-and-bolts of these productions, Anderson details everything fans of these great shows want to know. This book contains page after page of memorable stories and anecdotes about Anderson's involvement with these ground-breaking sci-fi television shows and films. Containing over 200 rarely seen photographs with detailed remembrances of what made these ground-breaking shows so memorable.’

It sounds like it should be an interesting read for Cult TV fans, and, hopefully, will contain some unseen photographs of Mike and anecdotes.
