Nurses Traveling Around the World

Hello from headquarters!

Feel free to use this forum to communicate with other nurses who travel the globe. Ask questions, share observations about nursing in other areas of the world, and let one another know about upcoming trips.

Going to Turkey, for example? Start a discussion thread for nurses who travel to Turkey. Or perhaps you are traveling to Argentina. Wherever you are traveling, feel free to discuss it here. Eventually, we would like to have individual discussion threads for many countries.

Re: Nurses Traveling Around the World

If you are a nurse who is interested in travel nursing however you have lots of questions that need answering reply back today! I have several experienced travel nurses who would be willing to share their stories..the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Nurses Traveling Around the World

I'm hoping to hear from psych nurses/practitioners who have been able to work abroad. I have questions about licensing and work permits. Who needs to be contacted to work in the EU for example?

Thank you for any information you might have the time to post.

G'day from sunny Sydney~!

Do you know of nurses who would like a 2 year-contract to come and work in Australia?

Please feel free to email me with any questions!

Re: Nurses Traveling Around the World

I am interested in learning about US nurses actually practicing in other countries. What did you have to do to be able to practice? Tests, clinicals, paperwork, etc...
Blessings!

Re: Nurses Traveling Around the World

Becca,

As far as requirements, etc. it usually depends upon the country. Usually most require 2 years of nursing in their home country for new graduates but that can vary also.

It just depends upon where you want to go! I am in Sydney, Australia and have also worked in the Middle East (I am from USA). Nursing can open so many wonderful doors~!

Sincerely,

Nancy
