Great chat!! It was all in order for a bit of banter in the dressing room and I was only going to warm up in them before returning to my trusty 'old school, black boots' but they were really comfy so thought I'd carry on with the crack.
As for playing as a centre forward, I think we should credit Lyndon with just about enough tactical knowledge to know where I'm best suited - regardless of the colour of my boots.
I have exactly the same opinion as you do about centre halves wearing 'proper' boots but after an assist, a clean sheet and a vital 3 points I only have to apologise in the fact that they will be making another outing soon. They may reflect a bit under the floodlights so bring a pair of sunglasses for Tuesday!! |
