Epsom & Ewell bossed the first half with the clearer of the early openings and good passing moves but still required last ditch defending by Charlie West, Alex Rodrigues and keeping of Paul Borg to keep Egham out in the first half. Egham took the lead on 56 minutes direct from Epsom & Ewell attack as Kyle Hough's effort in the Egham box was blocked, the ball being lumped up field to James Thornby to go pass a challenge and roll the ball past advancing Borgy. Egham could (and should) have been two up on 66 minutes when a diagonal ball found unmarked James Thornby on far post but quick reactions of Borg to slide in feet first and cleanly win the ball without making contact with Thornby spared Epsom blushes. Epsom managed to get an equaliser on 72 minutes thanks to a long throw that two Egham defenders and an Epsom player all missed with air shots, Chad Heuston's shot that seemed to be going wide finding the boot of Robbie Burns 8 yards out to guide it just inside the post. Epsom & Ewell were denied a penalty shout on 77 minutes when Kyle Hough's shirt was being held with both hands of the Egham defender but to give credit to the referee Kyle at the same time did have a handful of the Egham defenders shirt. Egham had their own penalty shout turned down for hand ball on 80 minutes and saw an unchallenged header clatter Paul Borg's crossbar on 86 minutes. The presence of Ben Radford who came on for his debut for the last 10 minutes managed to create panic for the Egham defence as his runs managed on three occassions to provide chances to Darren Smith, Robbie Burns and Kyle Hough - Hough & Burns' efforts were both blocked and Darren Smith was buffered away from the ball by Neerav Patel resulting in a penalty appeal which was turned down by the referee.

The result saw the E's climb up the table from 17th to 15th
