Ink is caught in my screen and I can't get it out, what do I do?
Ink that has set in a screen for a while can cause big problems for us.
For future reference, once you have finished printing clean your screen BEFORE you do anything else.
For water based inks;
First try some detergent - rub it into the screen with your hand only. DO NOT SCRUB or your run the risk of ruining your stencil (design that it already on there) leave it on for a few minutes. This releases the surface tension of the mesh and allows the ink to loosen. Then blast it with a hose up close (be careful if you use a pressure washer and get to close you’ll wreck the image).
For solvent based inks wash it with thinners and a rag.
If all else fails bring your screen in and in most cases we will be able to remove the ink with a chemical process, we will however have to remove your design as well.

Can I cure the ink on the printed t-shirt with heat gun?
I would not recommend it, the iron or Elna press is better, tunnel dryer is best.
The heat gun has a tendency to scorch fabric and the cure can be uneven. Also keep the heat gun AWAY from the screen – it will melt the mesh.
